Sent all the subframes, and swingarm out to the powder coater today, and emptied my wallet on some more titanium fasteners...

Any Bats ever had custom titanium axles / swing arm pivots made ?

I'm thinking that's next on the 'money pit' list.

For low torque bolts go with Ergal, cheaper cost and just as light.

Never had custom Titanium made due to cost.

Ride Cooling out, midwinter.

Just installed an 'Apollo' radiator on one of my 50s.
You guys may recall that @twinturba got a good deal for us on a number of these units.

The radiator core is twice as thick as a stock rad, welds and finish are VERY nice. Mine was NOT an exact, simple bolt in replacement... I had to move the horn a bit, and bend the upper bracket about 1/8" to get it to fit.

Overall, a simple upgrade.

Thanks for the update. It's a really nice upgrade piece.

Ride

Side note to this - I took the opportunity to replace hoses, clamps, and coolant (now running Engine Ice in all my running bikes), and cleanup / give a coat of paint to associated parts.
The 'Silver' RS50 (the missus' bike) is just about ready for the coming season... changed the tranny oil, added MC18 tires and new wheel bearings -

I got the missus' bike with under 2K miles on it, and it came with an Athena BBK, Arrow race pipe, and DellOrto PHBG 21 carb. Hadda drive theree hours to pick it up, but all in all a good buy.

Next mods for the silver bike will be a DNM 'MT-BAG' shock for the rear, and the AF1 front spring kit.

I'm thinking of having a 'run' of front preload adjusters made as well, if anyone may be interested.

Has anyone over here at BATS done any work around 'dual damping' front suspension on the RS50 ?

If i remember the AF1 spring kit is a KTM spring kit? I have the box from one. I'm not 100% sure of this info it's been awhile.

Never checked the actual part #'s but the kit I received was 'RaceTech' springs.
They are likely produced / packaged for some other bike than a RS50, as they are significantly shorter. Also in the AF1 'kit' was a piece of PVC pipe for spacers, and a couple qts. of PJ1 30 wt fork oil.

Adding the custom preload adjusters gives ~ 15mm of adjustment.
