Default a couple times a year

We get snow a couple times a year, RARELY very much, and it never lasts long...

Been talking to TT about some FastWay footpegs... anxious to get these slippery stock ones replaced.

I replaced the fuel and the battery, Sure enough started right up with the choke on. I warmed it up and turned the choke off on the 24 Kehin round slide carb. Gave it a rev and it bogged.

A couple days later after some research on the BATS I thought it was because of a broken petcock. I found that i have this one https://www.treatland.tv/derbi-varia...nt-petcock.htm and that the turning to the center is what turns off the gas completely and I think right to the right is on and left is reserve. Either way i still had bogging while the choke was off.

I noticed that there was a fuel filter in line to the carb, it had some stuff inside the filter so i replaced the fuel line without a filter for the moment.

Bing baby. running like a champion racer again.

Took it out for a first spin around Hollywood and coming around the first corner gave it some gas and the back tire slides out. I didn't lay it down but realized quickly that this gearing is for the track. The rear comes with an aluminum 53 stock. I think the front is a 14 tooth. I'm going to see if i can fit a bigger front sprocket.

TT is coming down to LA for the annual 2 stroke extravaganza ride and show. I'm planing on bring this bike and the D'oro Aprilia 85CC stroker bike.

I'm thinking for the ride to switch this bike over to 21mm Del orto carb with the airbox since the ride will hit some elevation.

Stay tuned.

Have y'all ever done a SM --> dirt / enduro conversion ? I'd LOVE to simply buy a set of tires / wheels / rotors / sprockets, and be able to SIMPLY switch my SM bike to be more 'dirt-friendly'....

I actually have a set of the senda wheels to convert my motard to dirt setup at some point, but just havent had time to even look at that project yet. All you need is a set of Senda wheels and they mount right up.

The 'real live' Senda wheels seem a bit hard to come by, and / or WAY expensive.

Guess I'll just meaure 'em up, and see what I can find that'll fit.
