Default New Forum Member, Looking for 1st 2 Stroke

Hi everybody, I'm currently looking for my first (street) 2 Stroke - a Cagiva Mito. I know they're pretty rare here in the states, but I'm willing to be patient.

Welcome! The Cagiva Mito is a special bike, particularly here in the states. We've been fortunate to own a few over the years and have a special one to restore in the future. Good luck on your search and let us know when you find one!

Thanks! I've been toying with the idea of importing a 94 or 95 model from Europe under the '25 year-old' rule, but that would cost a pretty penny, not to mention the hassle of dealing with customs/ the DMV. I'll give it some more time.

Yeah, Mito, that's a toughie. Why not something easy like a V-Due?

You're undoubtedly $$ ahead to buy one that's already here. The catch is, as you've noted, there aren't many here. Jap and that other brand of Italian 2T bikes carpet the ground in comparison. Patience is a start, but you'll also need to be watchful (like a hawk). Fortunately for you, a) California is about the likeliest place to find one, and b) if anyone can help you find parts, it's the BATS.

Good luck.
