Interesting. Anyone here know enough about both bikes to comment on the relative strengths and weaknesses of the Mito vs. the '09 Aprilia RS125?

Here's my guess on the 2 bikes. Styling wise think that's subjective, I like the Mito a tad more. Engine wise I'd give the nod to the Aprilia. The Aprilia is a 54x54 engine, the Mito a 56x50 one. The Aprilia came in a SP model as did the Mito. I know the SP Aprilia had a 34mm carb and was rated at a claimed 37ps.
The earlier Mitos had the cool 7 speed gearbox. Picking between the two would be tough, but for me a later model Mito with the older model gearbox would be my pick!

In all actuality they are both sweet bikes and you are lucky to have either one--thus if you get the chance to pick one up do so.
Here are some more Mito shots invoking the Rossi action.

Stuck the name in the Bing translator and it says translation = "myth". My guess is, marketing types at Cagiva would say "legend".
If I'm ever in a position to have to choose between a Mito and an RS125, I will consider myself very fortunate!

I used to ride the Aprilia RS every so often as a mate had one. His was the full SP job, which he also had tuned. At the time it had a different engine to the standard RS, this motor was fitted as standard for the years following. Performance wise it was night and day quicker than the regular RS and came with only a difficult to use left side kick start. Another buddy has bought it and hopefully he'll restore it and bring it back out.
