Its at the bat cave now. Just installed all the bodywork after I had to add a section of blue to stay authentic. Shit is looking bad ass.

We need to find you a good local powder coater. With all the great work you are doing it would be worth it.

You'd be much happier in the long run if that stuff was powder coated rather than painted.

Yeah but I don't ride in the rain, off road, when its windy, when its sunny, when its cold and I always wipe after a ride. Haa haa haa haaa hahahahahahahahaaa.
Yeah I hear ya. I just couldn't fine one so I figured I can paint it with 6-7 coats and then 3 coats of clear.

Generally, the less material (paint/powder) you put on a piece the less likely it is to chip.

OEM paints are usually less than 2.0 Mils, and powder is best around 4 or so.

Less is more...

Yeah but my bike still looks awesome compared to what it was.
I'm happy.

Absolutely, just passing on some things I've learned on the subject from working in the industry for over 20 years.

I'm installing a brand new cylinder and top end as well as installing a new 24mm Mikuni flat slide carb. I have too much blow by dripping out of the exhaust pipe. I've already re jetted every way but Sunday so I figured the cylinder is no longer round.
Lets see.
