Default KR250 Back on the Road

As the title says, I have gotten the KR250 running, and back on the road! Go me!

The biggest problems were the leaky fork seals, and the leaking brakes. With a lot of searching, sudden halts while waiting for parts, and help from several different people, (Thanks Super-X! Thanks Tim@Kr250.org! Thanks Miles and Jomo in Australia!) I've gotten the poor thing into relatively good shape, and a temp licence for it until I can get to the local CHP office for an inspection. I've gotten 60 miles on it, and would have more, but it seems to get a wee bit hot so I'm loath to get it too far away from the toolchest.

Here's a picture taken on my sooper sekret suspension testing loop today. Isn't she pretty?

No man, I can't tell you that my sooper sekret road is called Marshall Grade by the locals. Nope, can't do it.

Highly recomend avoiding the chippie's oriface if possible. You need a vin verification and safety check ? Any peace officer can do the vin verification, and likely won't know the difference <--- And for the safety/light/blinker.... I have just the place. TM

As far as I know, it's open. Which of course means it'll be a zoo. Reserved me a shirt, and I'm hoping to get it autographed there. (I'm also hoping the KR reserves me a good parking spot as well. )

Yeah, I'm a little concerned as to the inspection. I'm just hoping that the age of the bike will get me some leeway from the nice officer.

I wish I'd remembered the brake light switch before getting everything back together. Tim, at kr250.org says there are banjo fittings with switches available to him, but I can't get one from over there fast enough. I have a possible plan though, to get around that. Not gonna talk about it until after though.

In 09 there was one local for sale for 1800, advertised as a ninja 250 kr Kenny Roberts. I should've bought it.
