... what's supposed to keep it on the shaft ? I don't think i took pictures of what was there before disassembly, and now it seems like all that i have is that heavy duty c-clip.

I thought that there was two screws that held it on. Or was that the Aprilia's ..

anyone else can help?

Hey 4Ari,

Yeah, i should have said that i'm not using the oem sprocket. The oem one looks like it attaches with 2 screws, but the sprocket specialist one seems to just hang out attached by the E-clip (unless someone sez differently).

I use the E-clip along with the original two screw holder but use no screws. Put the gear on then the original piece then put the clip on. Works well.

Have you started the motor yet?

not sure i have the original 2 screw mount plate. Are you just using it for spacing ?

Yeah, the engine is back together. In fact, it's even got all of the fluids. Finished up the wiring this morning, then needed to do some family stuff today. Tried to bump it at 11pm, but no luck. Didn't try to long coz of the annoyance to my neighbor factor.

There is gas premix (32:1 91 octane) in the float bowl, and there should be air around. So, maybe the pvl advance is wrong. I set it at 5.25 mm BTDC -- the manual said 6mm, but i read that it needed to be adjusted for the longer stroke of the 76cc crank, and i found an online calculator. So, dunno. Tomorrow is another day -- i'll prolly drag it to marshaltown -- even tho i'm not racing, there should be more brains to pick. Shite, i hoped to be racing.
