Hey is there any differences in the GPR 50 motor for different years? If so is there one that is better than another year and what are the differences? Thanks for any help.

AFAIK, differences were minimal. Second gen GPRs ditched the mechanical tach drive in favor of an electronic one. Good for reduced frictional losses, but if you've got a mechanical tach and go with a later year motor, you'll be in the same boat I am. I'm waiting on my new MRD dash I just ordered from Pierce to solve the problem. Only other thing you have to watch out for is that at some point in production they changed the right end of the crank from straight cut to tapered. I don't think one is better than the other, but you have to watch parts interchangeability because of it. Aside from that, I think even the current (3rd) generation GPR50 motors are still the same. Anybody know of anything else??
